Rita lives in St. Helens, with her Husband Ian - on Tasmania's sunny easy coast.
and is a qualified teacher with extensive experience in teaching both adults and children.
In her patchwork and quilting classes, she aims to encourage individual creativity
and skills in her students. Students learn all the skills they need to create their own unique projects
while having fun and enjoying the company of others. Rita has been designing and making quilts
for about 10 years, and in 2003 won an award for one of her creations at the Tasmanian
Quilting Guild Exhibition in the Launceston Silverdome.

In the same year, 3 of her quilts were featured in Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine, another
has been commissioned by Australian Quilters Companion, and others are being considered by
Australian Homespun magazine.

She enjoys designing and making quilts so much that she loves to teach others the methods and skills
she has learned. Rita also designs kits and patterns, and this website is the latest development in her passion
for patchwork and quilting
